None of her kind had ever before attempted such a feat. Most sneered at her efforts as if they were unreasonable to even consider. It was true, the risk terrified her. She could fail. And if she did, all the cynics would be justified in their poisonous words. But regardless of these truths, she endured. For another certainty remained, that if she should fold, she would be resigned to the ugliness of normalcy. Day after day, it would carry on for her entire life, plaguing her consciousness. And so, with cold reality seared into her thoughts, she pressed on with burning conviction. Each time she faltered she would rise up again, ignited with determination. She did not succeed to prove others wrong, nor to prove herself right. Rather, she did it for others like her to find their way. So she blazed a trail bright for them, so that all could chase the embers amongst the darkness.
