The night seemed endless. The clash of metal and cries of anguish will be forever etched into her memories. Through the black, she wields her sword blindly, hoping to survive the cold and despairing expanse. Vulnerable and depleted, she trudges onward, ignoring her own desperate protests to lay down arms and surrender. But then, flickering rays of assurance crest the horizon. Rubble and debris fall like the shattered darkness as she raises a banner, long since abandoned. Hope is restored to all who gaze upon it, for in the glow of the invincible dawn, she too, remains unconquerable.
