They point, sneering in jest at the girl before them. Never before had they seen such an easy kill. With arrogance and conceit they surround her, unaware of their last moments on earth. The first, throughly entertained by the situation, makes a careless thrust of his weapon in her general direction, but shortly thereafter finds his life spilling upon the grass as he stares at the pale noon sun. With her sword held high, her conviction never dies, as she steps over the corpse at her feet. The remaining two advance hesitantly as if walking upon thin ice, for indeed, their next step sends them plunging into a frozen death. May their laughter be drowned in silence.
