The spring serenity does not mirror the unfolding events. Warm morning rays highlight blooms at the peak of their beauty as they descend upon an ugly scene. They outmatch her both in numbers and strength, as they send her body cascading to the ground time and time again. Laughter and jest pollute the air while her tears stain the dirt beneath her collapsed frame. But it only takes a moment, maybe two, before her shadow casts confidently over her pathetic adversaries who now shrivel with fear in the mud. With every fiber of her being she wishes death upon such heartless monsters who’s gracelessness demands the ultimate punishment. But as the last petal falls her blade does not, for instead, it rises in mercy.
